Dermot Smyth is an Irish contemporary landscape artist who has a long standing interest in the rural landscape. His paintings are not landscapes in the traditional sense, but focus on objects that are so common place that they have become invisible.
Dermot has exhibited at both the Royal Hibernian Academy's annual exhibition in Dublin, and at the Mall Gallaries in London as part of the Royal Society of British Artists Annual Exhibition. His paintings are held in private collections both in Ireland and the UK.
